Our Story
Hi there! I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself and tell you what we are all about here at Tony’s Fine Woodworking. My name is Tony Holguin and I am a military veteran and my hope is to use woodworking as a tool to help veterans that are suffering with PTSD. I have personal experience with it and this has really helped me. We also donate a percentage of our profits to veterans.
Why woodworking, you ask? Well, I have always loved being creative and creating things with my hands. I have loved working with wood since I was a kid. I have made furniture off and on for years, but now find myself with a hobby turned business. I was also a professional photographer for over 30 years and traveled the world with my camera. Whether it be a business, photography, or wood; I am a hands on kinda guy. Although woodworking is a different form of art, I believe my photography skills help me to look at wood differently. I can see what a slab of raw wood can become with a little talent and finesse. Just as a photo can tell you much more about the person than first glance, wood can tell you a whole story if you know how to look at it. I love nothing more than to take a piece of wood and create something beautiful and timeless out of it. Bringing out its natural beauty and highlighting its curves and undulations gives me such satisfaction and watching it come to life can be downright magical. The only thing better is finding others that appreciate the beauty and workmanship that goes into each piece.
So, please join me on this journey. You can see my projects come to light on a variety of places besides here. @tonysfinewoodworking, YouTube- Tony’s Fine Woodworking, Facebook- Anthony Holguin
